Several of the speakers at the Ira W. Sohn Investment Research Conference told investors where there is — and isn’t — money to be made.

The setting was the Ira W. Sohn Investment Research Conference. The event, which is held for charity, invites accomplished hedge-fund managers to riff on the economy and tout investing ideas. Proceeds from the event go to groups that fight pediatric cancer and other illnesses.
